Roof Wash and Treatment
To increase the lifespan of your roof and to get it looking brand new, we offer two solutions: a roof treatment or a roof wash, both of them have their pros and cons.
Roof wash is a process to restore and revive your roof's original beauty straight away by blasting the grime, dirt and moss/lichen off with the low or high pressure water blaster. You would opt for this if you want an immediate result, or you don't have much lichen on the roof but it is dirty. The problem is that it doesn't kill the lichen spores and root fragments that stay alive on the roof, resulting in possible regrowth. A roof wash alone doesn't provide long -term protection.
Roof treatment is a process that kills moss and lichen and their spores on the roof surface. It prevents regrowth for a few years after being treated. The disadvantage of a roof treatment is that it will not remove the grime and dirt, and it will take 3-6 months for the dead moss and lichen to disappear, broken down and taken away by the sun, rain and wind. For roof treatment a nice day is required without any rain to ensure the chemical will get to the roots of the lichen undiluted. If you collect rain water from the roof, the water tanks need to be disconnected before the application and remain disconnected for 2-3 weeks. It is a longer term solution and cheaper option than a roof wash.
